Optative Sentence : इच्छावाचक वाक्य
परिभाषा : ऐसे वाक्य जिससे आशीर्वाद देने, प्रार्थना करने, अभिशाप देने तथा मनोकामना के भाव का बोध हो । उसे Optative Sentence कहते हैं ।

Optative Sentence uses of Rules – 1
जब वाक्य का Subject God ( भगवान ) हो ।
Optative Sentence ” May या फिर wish ” से शुरू करते हैं । और May के बाद Subject देते हैं, Subject के बाद Verb ka first form ( V1 ) देते हैं और उसके बाद Object और फिर अन्य पद देते हैं ।
Optative Sentence के अंत मे Exclamation ( ! ) Mark अवश्य लगाये ।
Affirmative Sentence Structure
May/wish + Subject + Verb form ( V1 ) + Object + Other + !
Negative Sentence Structure
May/wish + Subject + not/never + Verb form ( V1 ) + Object + Other + !
आइये इसे कुछ उदाहरण से समझते हैं ।
भगवान आपकी रक्षा करें । May God save you !
भगवान आपकी मदद करें । May God help you !
भगवान आपको आशीर्वाद दें । May God bless you !
इन वाक्यों मे Subject God हैं, क्योंकि इन वाक्यों मे भगवान के द्वारा रक्षा करने, मदद करने, आशीर्वाद देने के काम करने का जिक्र किया गया हैं, अर्थात इन वाक्यों मे भगवान रक्षा करने, मदद करने, आशीर्वाद देने का काम कर रहे हैं।

जब वाक्य का Subject God न हो । यानि कि जव वाक्य का Subject Noun/Pronoun हो ।
Affirmative Sentence Structure
May/wish + Subject + Verb form ( V1 ) + Object + Other + !
Negative Sentence Structure
May/wish + Subject + not/never + Verb form ( V1 ) + Object + Other + !
आइये इसे कुछ उदाहरण से समझते हैं ।
भगवान करे वह मर जाए । May he die !
भगवान करें आपकी लंबी उम्र हो । May you live long !
भगवान करे आपको job लग/मिल जाए । May you get the job !
इन वाक्यों मे Subject ( He & You ) है, भगवान करे इस वाक्य का Subject नहीं है, क्योंकि भगवान के द्वारा इन वाक्यों मे किसी भी प्रकार का कोई काम नही किया जा रहा है । इन वाक्यों मे आपकी लंबी उम्र होने, आपको job लगने, और उसके मरने का जिक्र किया गया है इसलिए इन वाक्य का Subject ( He & You ) है ।
Note : इस प्रकार के वाक्यों मे भगवान करे की English meaning नही लिखा जाता है और भगवान करे को लुप्त कर दिया जाता है ।
