How to Translate Imperative Sentences and it’s uses of Rules, Structure, Example & Exercise Solution.
Definition : ऐसा वाक्य जिससे आज्ञा देने, अनुरोध करने, सलाह देने तथा निर्देश देने के भाव का बोध हो, उसे Imperative Sentence कहते हैं ।Definition : ऐसे वाक्य जिससे आज्ञा / अनुरोध / सुझाव / प्रस्ताव या फिर निषेध का भाव व्यक्त होता हो उसे आदेेेश सूूूकच वाक्य ( Imperative Sentence ) कहते हैं आज्ञा के लिए अनुवाद Verb से शुरु होता है और निषेध के लिए Don’t + Verb से शुरु होता है । जैसे
1. जाओ Go.
2. दौड़ो Run.
3. मत दौड़ो Don’t run.
4. बैठ जाओ Sit down.
5. उसे मत पीटो Don’t beat him.
6. धूम्रपान मत करो Don’t smoke.
7. वहाँ मत जाओ Don’t go there.
8. दरवाजा बंद करो Shut the door.
9. अपनी कलम मुझे दो Give me your pen.
10. वर्ग मे मत हँसो Don’t laugh in the class.
11. एक गिलास पानी लाओ Bring a glass of water.
Note : Imperative Sentence एक Ward ( Go, Run, Sing etc ) का भी होता है, जो Verb का first form ( V1 ) होता है ।
Imperative Sentence uses of Rules
सबसे पहले Verb का first form ( V1 ) दें, फिर Object ( यदि हो तो ) दें, और फिर अन्य पद दें । Negative ( मत करो, मत हँसो, मत पीटो इत्यादि ) के लिए पहले Don’t दें । फिर Verb का first form ( V1 ) दें, फिर Object ( यदि हो तो ) दें, और फिर अन्य पद दें ।
यदि वाक्य मे कभी “मत करो” रहे तो वाक्य को Never से शुरू करें ।
कभी झूठ मत बोलो । Never tell a lie.
गरीबो को कभी मत सताओ । Never bother the poor.
Imperative Sentence को Translate करने के Structure & Examples
Verb form ( V1 ) + Object + Other thing.
Don’t + Verb form ( V1 ) + Object + Other thing.
अपनी कलम मुझे दो Give me your pen.
मुझे पचास रुपये दो Give me fifty rupees.
एक गिलास पानी लाओ Bring a glass of water.
Note : यहाँ Give Verb का first form ( V1 ) है, और me Object है, और your pen, fifty rupees Other thing हैं ।
परंतु तीसरे वाक्य मे Bring Verb का first form है । और a glass of water, Other thing हैं । लेकिन इस वाक्य मे Object नहीं है । याद रखें इस प्रकार के वाक्यों मे Object और Other thing हो भी सकता है और नहीं भी, केवल Verb ही ऐसा है जो हर एक Sentence मे निश्चित रूप से होगा, और बाकी चीजे हो भी सकता है और नही भी ।
Imperative Sentence मे Subject ( You ) प्रायः छिपा हुआ रहता है । इसे एक Example से समझे ।
वहाँ मत जाओ Don’t go there.
इस वाक्य का मतलव है कि कोई आपसे कह रहा है कि आप/तुम वहाँ मत जाओ, लेकिन इस वाक्य मे केवल लिखा है ” वहाँ मत जाओ ” इसका अर्थ है कि यहाँ Subject ( तुम/आप ) छिपा हुआ है । इसी प्रकार सभी Imperative Sentence मे Subject लुप्त रहता है ।

Please/kindly/always का प्रयोग
ऐसे Imperative Sentence ( आदेशसूचक वाक्य ) जिसके शुरु मे कृपया / हमेशा / दया करके इत्यादि लगा हो । उस Sentence को Please/kindly/always का प्रयोग करके बनाते हैं ।

Let ka use : Let के प्रयोग
कुछ ऐसे Imperative Sentences होते हैं । जिसको Translate करने के लिए Let का प्रयोग किया जाता है, और इन Sentence से भी प्रस्ताव/सुझाव/आज्ञा/आग्रह का बोध होता है । जैसे
मुझे जाने दो ।
उसे आने दो ।
उसे अंदर आने दो ।
मुझे बाहर जाने दो ।
उसे मत जाने दो ।
राम को पढने दो ।
उनलोगो को काम करने दें ।
अब हमलोग चलें ।
हमलोग एक साथ गाना गाएँ ।
इस प्रकार के Imperative Sentence को Let का प्रयोग करके Translate करते हैं । और प्रायः इस प्रकार के वाक्य के अंत मे ” ने दो ” लगा रहता है ।

इसे Examples के द्वारा समझने का प्रयास करें ।

राम को पढने दो । Let Ram read/study.
उनलोगो को काम करने दें । Let them work.
अब हमलोग चलें । Let us go now.
हमलोग एक साथ गाना गाएँ । Let us sing together.
यदि Negative Sentence ( मत जाने दो, मत करने दो, इत्यादि ) रहे, तो Object के बाद not लगाए, या फिर Let के पहले don’t का प्रयोग करें ।
इस प्रकार के Sentence मे भी Subject छिपा हुआ रहता है । इसे एक उदाहरण से समझे, जैसे
मुझे जाने दो ।
इस वाक्य का मतलव है कि ” आप मुझे जाने दो ” लेकिन वाक्य मे केवल ‘मुझे जाने दो’ लिखा है, इसका अर्थ है कि यहाँ Subject ( आप ) लुप्त है ।

Note : आप Let + us को Let’s भी लिख सकते हैं । जैसे
Let us go. को आप Let’s go. भी लिख सकते हैं, ऐसा प्रायः Spoken English मे बोला जाता है ।
