Important Points About This, That, These & Those.

1. This, That, These और Those Demonstrative Pronoun / Adjectives हैंं ।

2. This/These से निकटता का बोध होता है ।
3. That/Those से दूरी का बोध होता है ।

Note : जैसा कि आपलोग जानते ही होंगे कि Singular के साथ Singular verb और Plural के साथ Plural verb का प्रयोग होता है । इसलिए

1. This/That के साथ Singular noun तथा Singular verb का प्रयोग होता है ।

2. These/Those के साथ Plural Noun तथा Plural verb का प्रयोग होता है ।

Hints : यदि यह, वह, ये सब, वे सब के बाद कोई Noun लगा रहे तो इसे Possessive Adjective कहते हैं । और इसे निम्न Structure के अनुसार बनाते हैं ।

This/That/These/Those + Noun + is/am/are + Complement.

1. यह लड़का अच्छा है । This boy is good.
P.A Noun

2. वह कलम लाल था । That pen was red.
P.A Noun

3. यह लड़की सुंदर है । This girl is beautiful.
P.A Noun

Hints : यदि यह, वह, ये सब, वे सब के बाद Noun नहीं रहे तो इसे Possessive Pronouns कहते हैं । और इसे निम्न Structure के अनुसार बनाते हैं ।

2. वह लाल कलम था । That was red pen.
3. यह एक सुंदर लड़की है । This is a beautiful girl.

Note : वह राम है । का अनुवाद He is Ram. / That is Ram. होगा । That is Ram तब होगा जब राम की तरफ इशारा करते हुए उसे निर्देशित करना हो । इसी प्रकार वे लड़के हैं का अनुवाद Those are boys तब होगा जब उन्हे निर्देशित करना हो ।
