आप उस दिन कहाँ जा रहे थें ?   Where were you going that day ?
क्या आप पढने नहीं जा रहे थे ?   Were you not going to study ?
वह जानता है कि वह नहीं आ रही थी ।   He knows that she was not coming.
कुछ लड़के घर मे खेल रहे थे, परंतु कुछ लड़के पढ रहे थें ।
Some boys were playing in the house but some were reading/studing.
आप वह काम करने कब जा रहे थे ?   When were you going to do that work ?
तुमने क्या करना चाहा ?   What did you want to do ?
क्या आप उस लड़के को जानते थें ?   Did you know that boy ?

मैने उसे एक बार देखा था ।   i saw him once.
राम का भाई दो वषों से क्या कर रहा है ?   What has Ram’s brother been doing for two years ?
तुमने सुबह से क्यों कुछ नहीं किया है ?   Why have you done nothing since morning ?
उसने क्या चाहा है ?   What has he wanted ?
राम अपने भाईयों के साथ कल दिल्ली जा रहा है ।
Ram is going to delhi with his brothers tomorrow.
क्या रीता दिल्ली नहीं जाना चाहती है ?   Doesn’t Reeta want to go to delhi ?
मै जानता हूँ कि तुमने कुछ नहीं किया है ।   i know that you have done nothing.

अगर वह काम कर रहा था तो उसने मुझसे क्यों नहीं कहा ?
if he was doing work, why didn’t he tell me ?
बादल आकाश मे क्या कर रहा है ?   What is the cloud doing in the sky ?
लोग अपनी हिम्मत हार रहे थें, जब उनके पास कोई दूसरा रास्ता नहीं था ।
people were losing their courage, when they had no other alternative.
कोई किसी की मदद नहीं कर रहा था ।   No one was helping anyone.
क्या आपके पास कुछ नहीं होगा ?   Will you have nothing ?
आप टहल रहे थे और अपना समय बर्बाद कर रहे थे ।
You were walking and wasting your time.

क्या आप शिक्षित नहीं थी ? परंतु आप तो स्कूल जाया करती थी ।
Were you not educated ? But you used to go to school.
तुम एक बड़े नेता बनोंगे ।   you will be a great leader.
आप कहाँ जाने वाले हैं ?   Where are you to go ?
आप अपने बच्चों को पढाना क्यों नहीं चाहते ?   Why don’t you want to teach your children ?
क्या राम की गायें दूध नहीं देती ? वे दूध देती है, लेकिन मै दूध नहीं पीता ।
Do the cows of Ram not give milk ? They give milk but i don’t drink milk .
क्या आप गरीबो की मदद करना चाहते थें ?   Did you want to help the poor ?
आप कब परीक्षा देने वाले हैं ?   When are you to appear at the examination ?

उसमें जीवन की कठिनाइयों का सामना करने की हिम्मत नहीं थी ।
She had no courage to face the hardships of life.
वह पहले ही हिम्मत हार चुकी थी ।   She had already lost her courage.
कुछ साल पहले वह लड़ने की कोशिश कर रही थी । लेकिन हर चीज की एक सीमा होती है ।
Some years ago, she was trying to fight but there is a limit of everything.
उसने मेरा इंतजार नहीं किया ।   She didn’t wait for me.
मेरे आने के पहले वह जा चुकी थी ।   SHe had gone before i came.
वह वहाँ पहुच चुकी थी, जहाँ प्रत्येक इच्छा मर जाती है ।
She had reached there, where every desire dies down.
मै महीनों से अनुपस्थित था ।   i had been absent for months.
जब मै गया तब मैने उसे convince करना चाहा ।
when i went, i wanted to convince her.
मेरे लिए ऐसा करना बहुत मुश्किल था ।   it was very difficult to do for me so.
क्योंकि उसने अपना विचार ही बदल लिया था ।   because She had changed her idea/thought.
मैनें कोशिश की, परंतु यह व्यर्थ था ।    i tried, but it was in vain.
वर्षा होने के पहले फसलें मर चुकी थी ।   Crops had died before it rained.
आप क्या करने जा रहे हैं ?   What are you going to do ?
क्या वह कुछ करने जा रही है ?   is she going to do something ?
मै नहीं जानता हूँ ।   i don’t know.
क्या यह आपकी जवाबदेही है ?   is it your responsibility ?

जब मै आया बच्चे सो चुके थे ।  the Children had slept when i came.
सीता कहाँ रहना चाहती है ?   Where does sita want to live ?
जब आप खाना बनाना जानती थी, तो खाना क्यों नहीं बनाया ?

when did you know how to cook, then Why didn’t you cook ?
मै खाना बनाना जानती थी, किंतु बनाना नहीं चाहती थी ।
i knew how to cook but i didn’t want to cook.
क्या ये पुस्तकें तुम्हारी नहीं थी ?  Were these books not yours ?
क्या वर्षा होनेवाली थी ?  Was it to rain ?
वे क्यों एम. पी. बनना चाहते थें ?  Why did he want to become/be an M.P ?
उसने सुबह से क्या किया है ?   What has he done since morning ?
आप कब से अनुपस्थित हैं ?   Since when/for how long have you been absent ?
उसने तुम्हें कब पीटना चाहा ?   When did he want to beat you ?
क्या आप तैरना जानते थें ?   Did you know how to swim ?
राम पढने की कोशिश कर रहा था ।   Ram was trying to read/study.

वे कैसे एक अच्छे शिक्षक रहे हैं ?   How has he been a good teacher ?
क्या तुमने श्याम को मारना नहीं चाहा ?   Didn’t you want to beat shyam ?
वे क्या करना चाहते हैं ?   What do they want to do ?
मै जानता हूँ कि तुमने घड़ी चुराई है ।    i know that you have stolen the watch.
क्या राम नहीं जानता है कि वह इस बात को नहीं जानता था ?
Doesn’t Ram know that he didn’t know this fact ?
तुम कैसे जानते हो कि वह पहले ही इस बात को समझ चुका था ?
How do you know that he had already understood this fact ?
वह कभी मेरा दोस्त नहीं रहा है ।   He has never been my friend.
