मै पढता ही तो हूँँ ।
मै लिखता ही तो हूँँ ।
राज गाता ही तो है ।
मै पढता ही तो था ।
मै लिखता ही तो था ।

Note : ऐसे वाक्यो में क्रिया के बाद ” ही तो ” का प्रयोग होने से यह बोध होता है कि कार्य व्यापार पर बहुत जोर दिया जा रहा है । ऐसे वाक्यो का अनुवाद निम्न प्रकार से होता है ।
Subject + do/does/did + V1.
i do read.
i do write.
Raj does sing.
i did read.
i did write.
Raj did sing.
इन वाक्यो पर विचार करें ↧
वह पढता रहता है ।
तुम खेलते रहते हो ।
राज गाता रहता है ।
सीता सोती रहती है ।
Note : इन वाक्यो से यह बोध होता है कि कार्य व्यापार वर्तमान मे जारी रहता है । ऐसे वाक्यो का अनुवाद निम्न प्रकार से होता है ।
Subject + go on/goes on + V-ing
He goes on reading.
You go on playing.
Raj goes on singing.
Sita goes on sleeping.
Note : इसी प्रकार यदि वाक्यो से यह पता चले कि भूतकाल मे कोई काम जारी रहा तो इसका अनुवाद निम्न Pattern पर बनेगा ।
Subject + went on + V-ing
मै पढता रहा ।
i went on reading.
i continued to read.
i kept reading.
Note : ऐसे वाक्यो का अनुवाद continued/kept की मदद से भी बनता है लेकिन continued के बाद infinitive ( to + v1 ) तथा kept के बाद gerund ( V-ing ) आता है ।
मै श्याम को घंटो पढाता रहा ।
i went on teaching shyam for hours.
i continued to teach Shyam for hours.
i kept teaching shyam for hours.

क्या सीता नही हँसती रहती है ? Doesn’t Sita go on laughing ?
वह क्यो गाती रहती है ? Why does she go on singing ?

मै नही रोता रहा ।
i did not go on weeping.

इन वाक्यो पर विचार करें ↧
वह खेलता ही रहता है ।
सीता गाती ही रहती है ।
तुम सोते ही रहते हो ।
वे लोग हँसते ही रहते हैं ।
Note : ऐसे वाक्यो मे ही के प्रयोग से यह बोध होता है । कि इन वाक्यो के कर्ता सिर्फ एक ही काम करते हैं । कोई दूसरा काम नही करते हैं । जैसे राम खेलता ही रहता है । इस वाक्य का अर्थ यह है कि राम सिर्फ खेलने का काम करता है कोई दूसरा काम नही करता है । अतः ऐसे वाक्यो का अनुवाद निम्न pattern पर होगा ।
Subject + do/does + nothing + but + infinitive ( without to ).
He does nothing but play.
Sita does nothing but sing.
You do nothing but sleep.
They do nothing but laugh.
Note : ऐसे भाव को Past Tense मे व्यक्त करने के लिए do/does के बदले did दें ।
मै खेलता ही रहा । i did nothing but play.
वे लोग झगरते ही रहे । They did nothing but quarrel.
सीता रोती ही रही । Sita did nothing but weep.
वह नाचती ही रही । She did nothing but dance.
ध्यान दे मै खेलता रहा और मै खेलता ही रहा दोनो वाक्यो के अर्थ अलग अलग है । अतः अनुवाद मे भी भिन्नता है । खेलता रहा से यह भाव व्यक्त होता है । कि खेलने का काम भूतकाल मे जारी रहा और खेलता ही रहा से यह भाव व्यक्त होता है कि कर्ता ने Past मे सिर्फ खेलने का काम किया अन्य दूसरा काम नही किया । इसी प्रकार मै खेलता रहता हूँँ और मै खेलता ही रहता हूँँ दोनो वाक्यो के अर्थ मे अंतर है ।
