Grammar – 19: Adjective – Introduction (Part-1)

What is an Adjective?

An adjective is a word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun. It gives more information about the quality, quantity, size, shape, color, origin, or nature of the noun.

Examples of Adjectives:

Types of Adjectives

Descriptive Adjectives – Show quality (e.g., happy, brave, soft)
Quantitative Adjectives – Show amount (e.g., some, many, few)
Demonstrative Adjectives – Point out specific things (e.g., this, that, these, those)
Possessive Adjectives – Show possession (e.g., my, your, his, her)
Interrogative Adjectives – Used in questions (e.g., which, what, whose)
Comparative & Superlative Adjectives – Used for comparison (e.g., taller, tallest)
