What is an Adjective? (विशेषण क्या है?)

An adjective is a word used to describe or qualify a noun or pronoun. It tells what kind, how many, how much, or which one.

हिंदी में:
Adjective (विशेषण) वह शब्द होता है जो किसी संज्ञा (noun) या सर्वनाम (pronoun) की विशेषता बताता है।

Examples of Adjectives:

Sentence Adjective Used Meaning
She is a brave girl. brave Quality (गुण)
I ate two mangoes. two Number (संख्या)
He needs some help. some Quantity (मात्रा)
This book is interesting. this Demonstrative (संकेत)
Which dress do you like? which Interrogative (प्रश्नवाचक)

Types of Adjectives (विशेषण के प्रकार):
