What is an Adjective of Quantity?
An Adjective of Quantity describes how much of a thing is meant. It does not provide the exact number but gives a general idea about the quantity of a noun. These adjectives answer the question “How much?”

Whole | I read the whole book. (मैंने पूरी किताब पढ़ ली।) |
Rules & Usage of Adjective of Quantity

Used with Uncountable Nouns
I drank some milk. (Milk is uncountable.)
I drank some apples. (Wrong, because apples are countable.) -
‘Little’, ‘A Little’, and ‘The Little’ – Difference
- Little → Almost nothing (There is little hope.)
- A little → Some but not much (I have a little money.)
- The little → All that is available (The little money he had was spent.)

‘Much’ is mostly used in Negative & Interrogative Sentences There isn’t much water in the bottle.
