What is a Material Noun?
A Material Noun refers to substances or materials from which things are made. These nouns are usually uncountable and do not have plural forms.
Examples of Material Nouns:
Metals: Gold, Silver, Iron, Copper
Liquids: Water, Milk, Oil, Honey
Gases: Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen
Natural Elements: Wood, Stone, Cotton, Sand

No Articles (a/an) Before Material Nouns:

Definition:
A Material Noun is the name of a substance or material from which things are made.
Material noun refers to physical substances like metal, wood, cotton, etc.
