Puzzle 1: The Poisoned Coffee
A man went to a café and ordered a cup of coffee. He drank half of it and left. Later, he was found dead due to poisoning. The police questioned the waiter, chef, and cashier, but no one saw anything suspicious. The toxicology report confirmed that the poison was in the coffee. However, the coffee was not poisoned when served.
Question: How was the man poisoned?
Answer: The poison was in the ice cubes. As the ice melted while he was drinking, the poison mixed with the coffee.
Puzzle 2: The Room with No Windows
A man was found dead in a completely sealed room with no windows and only one door. The police found a puddle of water and a rope near the body. There were no other signs of struggle.
Question: How did the man die?
Answer: The man hanged himself using a block of ice. As the ice melted, it left only a puddle of water, making it look like there was no means of hanging.
Puzzle 3: The Missing Man
A woman called the police to report that her husband was missing. She said he had gone out for a morning jog at 5 AM but never returned. The detective immediately suspected her.
Question: What made the detective suspicious?
Answer: It was still dark at 5 AM, yet the woman had described her husband’s clothing and shoe color in detail. How could she see his clothes if it was too dark?
Puzzle 4: The Mysterious Murder Note
A man was murdered in his office. The only clue left behind was a note with the numbers “5, 1, 3, 9, 7” written on it. The detective figured out that the numbers were pointing to a suspect.
Question: How did the detective decode the clue?
Answer: The numbers corresponded to the first letters of the names of his colleagues. The numbers represented the position of the letters in the suspect’s name (Example: If “A” is 1, “B” is 2, etc.).
Puzzle 5: The Hotel Room Mystery
A man checked into a hotel and was given room 303. He went inside, locked the door, and went to sleep. The next morning, he was found dead inside the room. The police found that the only window was locked from inside, and the door had not been opened after he entered.
Question: How was the man murdered?
Answer: The killer was already hiding in the room before the man checked in. He killed him during the night and then escaped through the air vent or ceiling panel.

Puzzle 2: The Man in the Elevator
