Use of Modal Auxiliary Verbs in Active voice & Passive Voice & it’s Examples & Exercise Solution of Oxford Translation.
Shall, Will, Can, Could, May, Might, Should, Would, Must, Ought इत्यादि Modal Auxiliaries हैं । जब इनके बाद Active Verb प्रयुक्त रहता है । तब उस Verb को Passive मे बदलने के लिए निम्नलिखित Verb form का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।
Active Voice of Modal Auxiliary Verbs
They will kill the bird.
i can lift it.
They could solve the problem.
He may defeat you.
You must help your brother.
One should keep one’s promises.
He could kill the bird.
Anybody can break this stick.
We should help the poor.
None can challenge him.
We shall take her to hospital tomorrow.
You must write the answers in ink.
Everyone will blame us.
One cannot gather grapes from thistles.
Passive Voice of Modal Auxiliary Verbs
उपर दिए गए Active Voice के Passive Voice
Modal Auxiliary + be + V3
They bird will be killed by them.
It can be lifted by me.
The problem could be solved.
You may be defeated by him.
Your brother must be helped.
Promises should be kept.
The bird could be killed by him.
This stick can be broken.
The poor should be helped.
He cannot be challenged.
She will be taken to hospital tomorrow.
The answers must be written in ink.
We shall be blamed by everyone.
Grapes cannot be gathered from thistles.
Example of Modal Auxiliary Verbs Passive Voice
उसे पीटा जा सकता है । He can be beaten.
काम समाप्त हो जाना चाहिए । The work should be finished.
उसे ठगा जा सकता है । He may be cheated.
गरीबों की मदद अवश्य होनी चाहिए । The poor must be helped.
रोगी को नहीं बचाया जा सकता है । The patient can’t be saved.
यह कार्य नहीं किया जाना चाहिए । This work should not be done.
क्या उसे गाली दी जानी चाहिए ? Should he be abused ?
उसे क्यों नहीं हराया जा सकता है ? Why can he not be defeated ?
यह काम कब किया जाना चाहिए ? When should this work be done ?
Note : आपने देखा कि Can, Should, May इत्यादि के बाद not लगाने से वाक्य Negative तथा इन्हें Subject के पहले रखने से वाक्य Interrogative हो जाता है ।
