राम उदास है, परंतु श्याम प्रसन्न । Ram is sad, but Shyam is happy.
तुम क्यों उदास हो ? Why are you sad ?
तुम प्रसन्न क्यों नही हो ? Why are you not happy ?/( Why aren’t you happy ?)
मै उदास हूँ, क्योंकि मेरा भाई बीमार है । i am sad, because my brother is ill.
तुम्हारा भाई क्यों बीमार है ? Why is your brother ill ?
क्या वह हमेशा बीमार रहता है ? is he always ill ?
क्या वह अस्वस्थ है ? is he unhealthy ?
हाँ, वह अस्वस्थ और कमजोर है । yes, he is unhealthy and weak.
वह मजबूत नही है । He is not strong.
क्या वह नेक और विनम्र है ? is he gentle and humble ?
हाँ, वह नेक और विनम्र है । yes, he is gentle and humble.
वह घमंडी नही है । He is not proud.

भारतीय किसान मेहनती हैं । indian farmers are laborious.
वे फुर्तीले और मजबूत हैंं । They are active and strong.
वे गरीब हैं, परंतु आलसी और बेकार नहींं । They are poor but not lazy and useless.
मै तैयार हूँ, परंतु आप तैयार नही हैं । i am ready but you are not ready.
आप क्यों तैयार नहीं हैं ? Why are you not ready ?
वह पागल नही है । He is not mad.
वह असंतुष्ट है । He is dissatisfied.
वह क्यों नियमित नही है ? Why is he not regular ?
वह अस्वस्थ और कमजोर है, इसलिए नियमित नही है ।
He is unhealthy and weak, so he is not regular.
क्या तुम्हारी माँ दयालु नही है ? is your mother not kind ?
वह दयालु है । She is kind.
क्या आप थके हैं ? Are you tired ?
नहीं, मै थका नहीं हूँ । No, i am not tired.
मै बूढ़ा और कमजोर हूँ, परंतु थका नही हूँ । i am old and weak but not tired.
क्या बच्चे नटखट नही होते हैं ? Are children not naughty ?
हाँ, बच्चे नटखट होते हैं । yes, children are naughty.
परंतु मेरे बच्चे नटखट नहीं हैं । but my children are not naughty.
तुम्हारे शिक्षक दयालु हैं । your teacher is kind.
परंतु वे कड़े हैं । but he is strict.
क्या भारतीय किसान गरीब हैं, क्योंकि वे मेहनती नही हैं ?
Are indian farmers poor because they are not laborious ?
नहीं, भारतीय किसान गरीब हैं, क्योंकि वे शिक्षित नही हैं ।
No, indian farmers are poor because they are not educated.
क्या सोना काला होता है ? is gold black ?
नही, सोना काला नही होता । No, gold is not black.
यह पीला होता है । it is yellow.
क्या आपलोग शिक्षक हैं ? Are you teachers ?
नही, हमलोग शिक्षक नहीं हैं । No, We are not teachers.
हमलोग नेता हैं । We are leaders.
