📘 ICICIdirect PART 1: Basic Documents Needed to Open an Account

ICICIdirect (by ICICI Securities) provides integrated Demat + Trading + Bank account services. To open an account, you must complete KYC and submit a few essential documents.


✅ 1. PAN Card (Mandatory)

  • Must be valid and linked with Aadhaar

  • Name should match with other KYC documents


✅ 2. Aadhaar Card (For eKYC)

  • Used for address proof

  • Needed for e-signing if you’re doing online account opening

  • Mobile number must be linked to Aadhaar (for OTP)


✅ 3. Bank Proof

Any one of the following is required:

  • Cancelled cheque with your name printed

  • Bank passbook (first page)

  • Latest bank statement (last 3 months)

🏦 Bank account must be in your name and linked to ICICI or any other bank account


✅ 4. Passport-size Photograph

  • Required if applying offline

  • Online applications may allow selfie capture via webcam/mobile


✅ 5. Signature

  • Must match with PAN card or Aadhaar

  • You can draw or upload your signature online


✅ 6. Income Proof (Only for F&O or Commodity Trading)

Required only if you want to trade in:

  • Futures & Options (Equity Derivatives)

  • Currency or Commodity segments

You can submit any one:

  • Latest ITR acknowledgment

  • Salary slip (last 3 months)

  • Form 16

  • 6-month bank statement showing income


🔒 Optional (For Verification Purposes)

  • Driving license or Voter ID (extra ID proof)

  • Utility bill (for address verification, if needed)
